Tennis
A variety of social and competitive tennis and platform tennis activities are held throughout the year at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club, including Men's and Ladies Doubles leagues, children's clinics, sanctioned tournaments and regular mixers.
Comprehensive instructional courses for all levels of play are ongoing. Private lessons are also available. Our Juniors Program and Kids Clinics provide member children with training opportunities from beginners to tournament level players.
The highlight of the tennis year is the USTA Midwest Open Mixed Doubles Championship, which draws touring and club level professionals with national and international rankings. Aaron Krickstein, Amy Frazier, Carey Cunningham and Meredith McGarth are among the touring professionals who have competed in the Midwest Open, hosted since 1973 at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club.
